Posted Memories

As a child my family went to Atlantic City, NJ each summer. Our visit always included seeing the Ice Capades at the Convention Center, going to the Steel Pier to see the diving horse, going to the movies and to see live shows. There was also another pier that had amusement rides.

We always stayed at the Dennis Hotel/Motel on the boardwalk. This was a special place with a neat entrance to the beach from a changing area (where you had your own private changing booth for the duration of your stay and clean towels/and they cleaned your bathing suit daily) underground the hotel. I've never seen anything like it ever again.

Does anyone remember the Ranch House restaurant on the boardwalk where you could watch through their front window as the chef cooked ?

Does anyone else have memories of the era in Antlantic City,NJ?
